Latham, John "Coach"

John Latham passed away peacefully on Friday, March 15th at the age of 61. His battle with complex medical issues in recent years showed his true warrior spirit and true love for his family, as he rounded each day with humor and compassion.

John will be remembered as a beloved baseball coach, an avid Philadelphia sports fan (Go Birds!), former Golden Glove champion boxer, and Halloween/horror enthusiast. Most importantly, he is remembered as a loving husband, father and Pop Pop. John had a personality not seen by many but admired by all, with a humor that could make the most stubborn laugh. He cherished his many friendships made along the way and will be missed by many.

John is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Sandra Latham. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Terri, and his children Steve, Erin, and Rachel. He is also survived by the loves of his life, his grandchildren: Mia and Missy Smulski, Nicholas Arlo and Baby Regenauer (due in May). Eldest to surviving siblings Fred Jr. and Tim along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday April 6th at Elsmere Fire Hall from 2-4pm where family and his close friends can honor his legacy of the many memories made.
