George J. Baldwin Sr.
Wilmington - George J. Baldwin Sr., 88, passed away on February 18, 2024, in Wilmington, Delaware, surrounded by his two loving sons Glenn and Randy. Born on August 11, 1935, in Wilmington, he was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. George is survived by his sons Randy (Nicole) and Glenn, along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his spouse of 51 years, Frances Baldwin.
George dedicated his career to Artesian Water, where he started as a ditch digger and worked his way up to foreman. Outside of work, he found joy in serving as a fire police for the Cranston Heights fire department. George did not believe in down-time, and spent his retirement tinkering in the yard, collecting tools, or enjoying his beloved Eagle’s football team.
A service to honor George’s life will be held at McCrery and Harra on Kirkwood Highway on Thursday, March 07, 2024. Viewing will be held at 1:30, wiht a service at 2:30. A reception will follow at 3:30 at Cranston Heights fire hall. McCrery and Harra, located in Wilmington, Delaware, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
