Janet E. Myers passed away on February 17, 2024.
She was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Frederick and Mary Gibason. Janet was a John Dickinson High School graduate. She, along with her husband Ron, owned and operated Myers’ Family Pharmacy in Newark for 20 years. Janet later worked at the Red Clay School District, Meadowood School as a para-professional for special needs children. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and served in various capacities. Janet also volunteered at Hope Dining Room. She was a wife, mother and grandmother who always put her family before herself.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Ronald C. Myers, Sr. Janet is survived by her children, Rhonda DiNenno (Tony) and Ronald C. Myers, Jr. (Julie), her grandchildren, Lauren, Jenna, Anthony, Kelsey, Ronnie and Ben, her great-grandsons, Wyatt, Wren, Westin and Mark.
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 292 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711 where a service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
