Carolyn P. Harris passed away peacefully at the age of 88, on February 2, 2024 at the Cadia Center.
She was born in West Grove, PA to the late Alvah and Lillian Phillips. Carolyn was a homemaker. She was a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, reading and most of all preparing meals for her family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard W. Harris, Jr. , with whom she enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Carolyn is survived by her children, Holly Gaul and Richard W. Harris, III, her grandchildren, R. Dylan and Gabrielle R. Gaul, Richard W., IV and Mackenzi T. Harris and her great-granddaughter, Adriana M. Gaul.
Friends may call on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 where a memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
