James Jaxon Shinn, age 79, of Wilmington, DE passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
He was born and raised in Wilmington, DE and was the son of the late Ruth A. (Bailey) and Charles B. Shinn, Sr.
James was a third-generation owner of B. Frank Shinn Paint Company here in Wilmington. He enjoyed boats, sailing, bicycling, and especially horseback riding.
James is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda (Mahoney) Shinn; 2 daughters, Sara Shinn (Jeremy) of Wilmington and Abigail Shinn of Grass Valley, CA and 4 grandchildren, Hunter, Mia & Teagan Harkins and Amara Nuber. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles B. Shinn, Jr.
Service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
