Pudvan, William David "Dave"

William David Pudvan, age 66, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Tuesday Dec 26th, 2023 with his wife by his side. Born in Wilmington, DE on Nov 23, 1957, he was the oldest son of the late William A. Pudvan and Laura Frederick Pudvan.

He attended McKean High School followed by the University of Delaware, completing a degree in Business Administration. Dave spent most of his professional career working for the United States Postal Service as Supervisor until he retired and started his favorite job working for the Grand Lodge of Delaware, where he was awarded the honor of Deputy Grand Secretary Emeritus. He belonged to many social circles such as the freemasons of Ionic Lodge #31, Scottish Right, Colonials, the Rutherford Civic Association, and the UD Alumni Association.

He loved his Philadelphia sports, especially the EAGLES! His other interests include playing the bass guitar in a band, going to the beach, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lynn Pudvan (Wilson); son Jared Pudvan (wife Rikki), son Craig Pudvan (wife Tara); and three most precious grandchildren, Zoe, Jasper and (newly) Max Pudvan, as well as a younger brother, Robert Pudvan (wife Lucy), many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Chloe. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sister, Teri A. Paulman (Pudvan).

The family would like to thank Delaware Hospice for their service and care during Dave’s final days.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington 19808 on Monday, Jan 8th from 6-8pm, (Masonic service will be held at 7pm). Eagles attire is encouraged this evening! On Tuesday, January 9, visitation begins at 10 am. with the funeral service at 11am. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
