Bonner, Annette Iannuzzi

Annette Iannuzzi Bonner, 94, of Wilmington, Delaware died December 18, 2023.

Born December 7, 1929 in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary Tucci Iannuzzi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Bonner, brother Donnie (June) Iannuzzi and sisters, Ginny Hess and Grace (Earle) Everton.

Surviving are her children Susan Lesan (Rick), Janet Fleishman (Joel), Kathryn Panula (Bruce) and David Bonner (Wendy); nine grandchildren: Kyara (Jeremy) Beck, Joshua (Rachel) and Jonathan Fleishman, Steven (Liz), Jeffrey (Mike), Scott (Jamie) Lesan, and Lesli (Stephen) Guthrie, and Robert and Jason Bonner; 11 great-grandchildren: Jonah and Sebastian Beck, Max and Blake Fleishman, Mikaela, Cameron, and Cassie Lesan, Vann and Jett Lesan, and Atticus and Olive Guthrie. ; sister Lucy Iannuzzi and brother-in-law Joe Hess, sister-in-law Margie Bonner, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Annette was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She graduated top of her class from Lexington High School and Radford College with honors. She married Bob in 1952 and they built their first house in Blacksburg, Virginia, working as a technical librarian at Hercules Radford Arsenal. In her role as a homemaker beginning in 1958, she also served as PTA president in Succasunna, NJ. The family moved to Cumberland, Maryland in 1971, then Wilmington in 1972. An avid student, Annette attended the Academy of Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Delaware for 30 years. She was Secretary of the Cardiff Ladies Bowling League for over 40 years, volunteered as a docent at various local museums, and loved to walk her three miles at local parks. Annette encouraged everyone to be kind, since it is free and goes far.

Visitation will be at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 on Thursday, December 28th at 10:30 am. with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, 6001Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
