Hanna, Constance M. "Connie"

Constance M. Hanna, 97, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2023. Connie was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of Joseph and Natalie Ford. She married John Hanna in 1949 and together they raised six children.

Connie is predeceased by her husband of 74 years, John; daughter, Alison Carter; brothers, Joseph and John Ford; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Hanna and grandson, Kevin Hannig. She leaves behind her children; Mark Hanna, Natalie Bader (George), Aimee Lacey (Daniel), Jaclynn Hanna (Joe Quill), and Matthew Hanna (Linda), as well as twelve grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Connie was known for her grace and sense of style. She loved to be out and about, traveling with her lifelong friends, and attending social gatherings…especially in a great outfit. She enjoyed reading, played Bridge, and was always working on a crossword puzzle. After becoming an empty-nester she launched a successful career in real estate, becoming a member of the One Million Dollar Club. Connie particularly loved spending time at her home in Bethany Beach and hosting annual Christmas Eve parties for her family, complete with her “tree of apples” displaying each of her grandchildren’s names. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be held privately.
