Terrence John “Terry” McGlone, age 79, of Wilmington, DE and formerly of South Jersey, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday November 25, 2023.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA and was the son of the late Doris (Snyder) and John McGlone. He graduated from Cherry Hill High School, NJ. Terry proudly serviced his country during the Vietnam War in the US Army. He was a cook where his learned skills were enjoyed by all, during war time and in his civilian life.
Out of high school, Terry worked for the Woolworth Company. He later worked for Foster Grant Sunglasses as an international sales representative. Terry finished his career working for multiple companies as their manufacturer sales representative.
No greater fan of the Villanova Basketball team than was Terry. He was also an excellent cook.
Terry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna (Slivinske); 2 daughters, Marlyn Fontenot and Kelly Jardneaux, of Lake Charles Louisiana; 4 grandchildren, Victoria Hayes (Jaron), Louis McGlone, Matthew McGlone, and Jordan Jardneaux; 6 great grandchildren, Arianna, Lucy, Noah, Carson, Madilyn, and Alice and 4 siblings, Bud McGlone of Florida, Mike McGlone of South Carolina, Molly Foody of South New Jersey and Kathleen Caputi of South New Jersey. He is also preceded in death by his 3 siblings, Rosemarie Cooney, James McGlone and Jack McGlone.
Services will be held privately.
