Tillman (Tim) B. Cox Tim Cox, 91, of Hockessin Delaware died peacefully at his home and went on to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Tim was born in Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Navy (Seabees) during WWII. For many years,
Tim was the Manager and Head of Sales at Cox Auto Sales, a used-car dealership in Wilmington, Delaware that was owned by both Tim and his brother, Aubrey Cox. Tim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, whom he especially loved calling on the phone very early every single morning. Through the years, he loved going horseback riding, hiking in the woods, playing his harmonica, his keyboard and reading his Bible. He was a long-time member of Cedars Church of Christ (now Greenbank Church of Christ.)
Tim is survived by his loving significant-other, Patti ; his children, Yvonne Harrell and Denis Cox (Isabel); 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Harmon Cox and Dorman Hayes; and a sister, Mollie Adams.
A viewing will be held on Friday November 10 from 9:00-10:00 am with a service to follow at 10:00 am at Greenbank Church of Christ, 511 Greenbank Rd. Wilmington 19808. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Brandywine Valley SPCA would be appreciated.
