Leonard R. Mroz, Sr., “Whitey” passed away on October 19, 2023 at the Christiana Hospital.
He was born in Hudson, PA to the late Joseph and Stella Mroz. Whitey served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from the DuPont Company. He was an eagle scout and had been a manager of Marshallton Little League. Whitey loved wood working and playing golf with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary J. Mroz, his children, Leonard R. Mroz, Jr. and Joseph S. Mroz and his wife Andrea, his sibling, Ceil Rock, his grandchildren, Leonard Mroz, III, Jospeh Mroz, Jr. and Lauren Mroz Van Ekelenburg, his great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Carmine and Mila Mroz. Whitey was preceded in death by his siblings, Joe, Raymond, Clem, Danny, Frances and Lillian and his grandson Jeremy Mroz.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Wednesday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 2503 Centerville Road, Wilmington, DE 19808.
