Dolores C. Rosiak, age 96, of Wilmington returned home to be with the Lord on Friday October 6th, 2023 after a lengthy illness. She was born on May 23rd, 1927 to Anthony Jezyk and Sophie Buczek.
She was a 1945 graduate of Wilmington High School and a long time member of St. Matthews Catholic Church and the Claymont Senior Center. She was a homemaker and quiet woman who loved God and her family above all else. She cherished visits with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending family picnics. She enjoyed going out to eat and watching old TV shows.
She was predeceased by her husband Ed in 2005. She is survived by a son, Edward J. Rosiak and his wife, Bonnie, of Laurel, MD; daughters Nancy Biddle and her husband, Jim, of Ocean View, DE and Linda Murphy and her husband, Patrick, of Chattanooga, TN. Also surviving her are eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Our family greatly appreciated the help and support from her friend Nellie. We are also grateful for the caring staff at Cadia Rehabilitation in Millsboro in her final years.
A viewing will be held at 11am on Friday, October 13th at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington with a religious service to follow at noon. Burial will be private.
