Joanne Eckmann Kushall, formerly of Wilmington, Delaware died on August 24, 2023 from advanced Alzheimer’s dementia. She was 78.
Born in Deptford, NJ in 1945, Joanne was the daughter of Ken and Mibs Eckmann and was their first child followed by her brothers, Jack and Jim.
Soon after graduating from Gettysburg College with a BS in Biology, Joanne married Joe Kushall and eventually they settled in Wilmington, Delaware before starting a family of their own.
Joanne is survived by her daughters Jennifer (Shane) Howat and Jessica (John) Norris, her brother, James “Jim” Eckmann, and her grandson, Tyler Howat. She was predeceased in death by her parents, Kenneth and Muriel “Mibs” Eckmann, her brother John “Jack” Eckmann and her husband of 30 years, Joseph A. Kushall, Jr.
