Martha Ann Rackley Irwin passed away on August 5, 2023 at Gilpin Hall, Wilmington, DE. She was born on March 18, 1934 to Annie and William Rackley, in Unadilla, GA.
Ann enjoyed gardening, painting, God’s gift of nature and helping others. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Rev. Cecil Irwin, Sr. They shared a strong faith in God and Cecil’s ministry as a Pastor and VA Chaplain in GA, IN, KY, and VA.
She was also predeceased by her son, Cecil Irwin, Jr.; her parents, and seven siblings. Ann is survived by her loving family: daughter, Vicki Irwin Smith of Wilmington, (Ted Harting). Grandsons: Greg Smith of Lincoln University, PA (Michelle), Brody Irwin of Charlotte, NC, (Casey), and Nicholas Irwin of Roanoke, VA. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren: Luke, Jake, and Emma Smith of Lincoln University, PA. She is survived by her brother, Harvey Rackley, of AL.
