Thomas J. Galvin, Jr. passed away the evening of August 3, 2023 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Tom was born April 8, 1961 and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. He was a graduate of Lehigh University and Pace University of New York. After graduating he moved to New York and then Phoenix, Arizona.
Tom was pre-deceased by his wife Lydia “Suzie” Nelson, and his father Thomas J. Galvin, Sr. Tom is survived by his mother Romayne S. Galvin. Also surviving are his sisters Mary Ellen Gibson, her husband David, and their family, and Kathleen Meany, her husband Jay, and their family, all of Wilmington. In Phoenix, Tom leaves behind a devoted step-daughter Sarah Nelson and her family. His step-son Steven Nelson and wife Taylor of California also survive him.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 6th at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4701 Weldin Road, Wilmington, DE. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at St. Joseph on the Brandywine.
