Gail A. Spence, 84, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
Gail was born on November 1, 1938. She always had a lot of love to give for the people in her life; she was a proud mother of three boys and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. In her younger years she competitively drag raced, was an avid bowler, and enjoyed card club. Gail loved attending family sporting events and was president of ladies auxiliary for Claymont little league. She was employed as a school bus driver, then moved to ShopRite and worked her way into management. She was a true spirit who loved being with other people. During her retirement years she enjoyed traveling, loved the beach and more than anything, she loved her family.
She is survived by her three sons and daughter-in-laws: Rick (Mylene), Randy (Elizabeth), and Scott (Kelly) Spence, as well as seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Thursday August 10, 2023 from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., burial will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park. For condolences please visit: mccreryandharra.com
